Suitable for determination of permeability of water through possolana cement or neat cement mortars with and without addition of integral water proofing compounds.
The equipment comprise the following
One permeability cell consisting of a specimen ring, a water cell fitting over the specimen rig, one base plate with an outlet, one top plate with water inlet and air release valve, three sealing washers and four tie rods. The specimen ring, water cell, top plate and bottom plate are made of brass. One Air Pressure Chamber with a pressure regulator. Two pressure gauges are fitted on the regulator one for air tank, pressure range 0-10.5 kg/sq.cm. and the other for water chamber, pressure range 0-7 kg/sq. cm. A Schrader valve is fitted on this chamber for pumping of air. One Water Pressure Chamber with a water inlet, air inlet and a water outlet complete with 2 meter heavy duty armored house pipe for connecting to the cell. One foot pump for applying pressure to the air tank. One compacting rammer, weight 500 g and face dia. 50 mm arranged for a free fall of 150 mm
